Organization members
Organization admins manage who belongs to their organization and what each member can do in its products. Platform admins can do the same for every organization, on the organization's page under Administration → Organizations (Platform administration).
Open the members page
The sidebar lists the organizations you administer under Your
organizations. Choose one to open its members page
(/orgs/<organization ID>/members).
Members who are not organization admins do not see this section, and the page answers This organization does not exist or you do not administer it.
Members
The Members table shows for each member:
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Member | Name and e-mail address; your own row is marked (you). |
| Organization role | Admin or Member. |
| Product roles | The member's role in each of the organization's products, for example Entrosity Axis: Technician. |
| 2FA | Whether the member uses two-factor authentication (On or Off). |
| Last sign-in | When the member last signed in on the Hub. |
Invite a member
- Choose Invite.
- Enter the E-mail address.
- Choose the Organization role:
- Member: uses the products they have a role in.
- Admin: also manages the members of the organization and their product roles.
- For each product the organization has, choose a role or No access. For Entrosity Axis the roles are Tenant admin, Technician and Viewer (Roles and permissions).
- Choose Send invitation.
The person receives an e-mail with a link that is valid for 7 days. It works for a new address (they create an account) and for an address that already has an Entrosity account (they sign in and accept). See Accept an invitation.
- Inviting someone who is already a member fails (
already_member); change their roles instead. - Inviting the same address again replaces the pending invitation with a new link; the old link stops working.
- A suspended organization cannot invite anyone
(
organization_suspended).
Pending invitations
Pending invitations lists invitations that were not accepted yet and have not expired: E-mail, Organization role, Product roles, when it Expires and when the person was Invited. The section is hidden when there are none.
Choose Revoke to cancel an invitation. The link in the e-mail stops working.
Expired invitations drop off the list. To give the person another chance, invite them again.
Change a member's roles
- Choose Edit on the member's row.
- Change the Organization role and the role in each product (No access removes the product role).
- Choose Save.
The change reaches Axis within about a minute. You can also edit your own row; if you make yourself a member, you lose access to this page.
Remove a member
Choose Remove on the member's row and confirm. The member loses access to the organization and its products. Their Entrosity account stays, with any other organizations they belong to. You cannot remove yourself here.
The last admin
An organization must keep at least one active admin. Demoting or removing
the last one is refused with an organization needs at least one active
admin (last_org_admin). Make someone else an admin first.
Only admins whose account is active count; a disabled admin does not keep the organization managed.
What members see
Members see, on the Hub:
- Products: one card per organization and product they have a role in, with an Open button (Open a product);
- Account: their own name, password, two-factor authentication and sessions (Your account).
They do not see the other members of the organization. An organization admin additionally sees the organization under Your organizations.
If the organization requires two-factor authentication, members without it must set it up before they can open any product (Your account). Only a platform admin can change that setting.
