Doors and remote opening
Doors lists every door of the tenant: its Door name, its Controller, Site, the controller's Status and the door's State (Locked, Unlocked or Unknown). The state updates live as the connector reports it.
History opens the door's events in the live monitor.
Open a door remotely
Operators and tenant admins see Open door next to each door (also on the controller's page).
- Choose Open door.
- Confirm: Open Main entrance now? The lock is released for 3 seconds. This is recorded in the access log.
- The connector releases the lock for the door's Unlock time; the door then locks again by itself.
The opening appears in the live monitor as Opened remotely, by your
e-mail address, and in the tenant's audit log
(door.open).
An opening is meant for now:
- If the connector is offline, Edge refuses at once
(
connector_offline: the connector is offline) instead of opening the door later. - If the connector does not open the door within 30 seconds, the request expires.
- The doors of a disabled controller
cannot be opened (
controller_disabled).
A TrackBase002 opens the door with its lock relay and releases it after its own relay time: the door's Unlock time is not sent to it. Door states of TrackBase002 controllers stay Unknown (not reported yet). The driver is not yet verified on a live controller (Controllers → TrackBase002 controllers).

A door's name, Lock relay and Unlock time (ms) are set on its controller's page (Controllers → Doors).
