User guide

This guide is for the people who use the portal:

  • Tenant administrators set up a customer: its sites, its Active Directory connection, its agents and its software.
  • Technicians look after the devices day to day.
  • Viewers can look but not change anything.

Global administrators (Entrosity staff) also manage tenants; that part is in Administration. Installing and running the server is in Operations.

Finding your way around

After you sign in, the sidebar shows the pages of your tenant. What you see depends on your role: pages you cannot use are hidden.

The Entrosity Hub button (top right) takes you back to the Hub's product launcher. The menu under your name (top right) links to your account on Entrosity Hub (Manage account on Entrosity Hub), the Hub's products (All products, and Manage members for tenant admins), and signs you out; the header also has the language button (English, Български) and the theme button (System, Light, Dark) (Your account). Global admins also get a tenant switcher and the Admin area. Their sidebar always shows the tenant menu too: of the tenant they are in, or on Admin pages of the tenant they opened last (the first one before that); the switcher changes it.

The sidebar stays in place when the page scrolls. When it is longer than the window, it scrolls on its own.

The portal updates itself

Device status, deployment progress, script output and alerts arrive over a live event stream. There is no need to reload a page while a deployment or script runs.
